Company Launches Compressed Air Car
6/11/2008 9:06:12 AM

Motor Development International (MDI) founder Guy Negre has developed the Compressed Air Car run by, you guessed it, compressed air.

The $12,700 CityCAT, one of the planned Air Car models, can hit 68 miles per hour and has a range of 125 miles. To refuel, the CityCAT driver will need to go to a gas station equipped with custom air compressor units. MDI claims it will only cost around $2 to fill the car with 340 liters of air.

The Air Car will start production relatively soon thanks to India's TATA Motors.
