LKQ Launches 2010 Calendar Competition for Car Enthusiasts

LKQ is encouraging car and truck enthusiasts to submit one or more photos of their vehicles for LKQ’s 2010 Calendar Competition. The contest runs now through Sept. 30, 2009.
All entrants who submit a photograph by the deadline will receive a free limited edition 2010 LKQ Calendar Competition t-shirt (while supplies last).
After the top 13 photos are selected for the calendar, the grand prize winners will be notified. As a “thank you” for their participation, LKQ will provide each grand prize winner with a framed, 24” x 36” poster of their winning entry.
Winners will also receive a professional car care kit from the Keystone Platinum Refinish Detail Series. Each kit includes wash, wax and wipe products for detailing – a $50 retail value.
Additionally, each winner will be showcased on LKQ’s Web site complete with a short biography, before and after photos, and some behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
The LKQ says its 2010 Calendar provides LKQ customers with over $250 in discount coupons for a variety of aftermarket and reconditioned products. The calendar will debut at the NACE 2009 Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, Nev.

Photos can be submitted by e-mail or standard mail.
E-mail guidelines: Send a quality, high-resolution photo to CalendarContest@LKQCorp.com. To be eligible, include your name, address, phone number and shirt size (L, XL or 2XL), as well as a brief description of your vehicle including year, make and model.

Photo guidelines
Quality: For digital photography, use a 6.1 megapixel camera or better. Do not compress or shrink the photos to reduce the file size. Send the original, unedited file in its largest size. Attach all image files to the e-mail. Do not copy/paste or embed the image in the body of the e-mail. Do not send links to online photo sharing Web sites. If the image(s) is too large to e-mail, then please mail a CD to the mailing address provided. Scan images at 300dpi.
Content: Choose scenery or a background appropriate for a national calendar. Do not shoot vehicle in a driveway, garage or in front of a house. Do not have people in the photograph. Do not have more than one vehicle in the shot. Be aware of shadows, reflections and glares that may ruin the shot. Do not include text or logos in the photo.
