PPG to Join West Coast Customs at SEMA

PPG Automotive Refinish is teaming up with custom car builders West Coast Customs for the
2009 SEMA Show to be held Nov. 3-6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
As part of its SEMA exhibit, West Coast Customs will display 20 of its most dramatic custom vehicles – all painted with PPG products. And, for the third straight year, the shop will present its popular “West Coast Customs Experience,” a series of live, master-level classes put on by industry leaders using the latest equipment. The “Experience” will occupy 5,000 square feet, including a full-size paint booth featuring PPG’s Vibrance Collection of custom finishes and Envirobase High Performance waterborne coatings.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have PPG as part of our exhibit at SEMA,” said David Green, West Coast Customs director of marketing. “We recently switched to PPG and started spraying Envirobase HP, and we’re getting terrific results – great color, great finish, really stunning looks.”
Along with the painting sessions it will provide with PPG, the West Coast Customs Experience is offering show attendees a variety of classes on welding, fabrication, interior, mobile electronics, car wrapping and more.
West Coast Customs is well-known internationally for its custom car creations. Its client list includes Hollywood celebrities, foreign royalty and many of the world’s “rich and famous.” The company initially gained fame through the MTV show “Pimp My Ride” and currently has its own cable show, “Street Customs,” on TLC.
