Allstate PRO Network Getting New Identity

11/5/2009 9:35:50 AM

Allstate announced this week that it will change the name of its Priority Repair Option (PRO) direct repair program to the “Allstate Good Hands Repair Network.”

The insurer believes the change will allow Allstate to leverage its “Good Hands” brand, creating "instant recognition and assurance" for customers, Allstate spokesperson Krissy Posey says.

“At Allstate, we know that our customers are in ‘Good Hands,’” she said. “Within claims, we also try to keep customers in ‘Good Hands’ with recommendations to repair facilities that are committed to quality work and customer service.”

Allstate’s DRP has used the “PRO” name since 1989.

For those repair shops on the DRP program PRO, they upload the appraisal via ERL (Express Repair Link.) This program "reads your estimate and flags for different items they deem important. It also lets you put in status dates such as promise delivery dates & actual delivery dates. They will only pay you after the delivery date is logged in. They recently changed the program. Now the dates cannot be changed; it defaults to the current date. So if the shop delivers a vehicle after hours or on a Saturday, they can only enter the following Monday's date. This now affects the "cycle time." When the computer runs it's reports against others in the system, it compares these artificial dates to others. If your shop happens to repair mostly large hits, this program spits the shop into a tier 2 or 3 category. IT doesn's matter if the facility is a reputable shop which has high customer satisfaction and quality repairs. In return, the claim reps will not see your facility's name because it is in a lower tier. They go
