There's no better way to showcase the risks of driving drunk than putting a mangled car out in front of your shop. At least Barry Dinsmore thinks so. He has displayed a wrecked car in front of his shop, Fender Mender in Keller, Texas, for the past five years as a reminder to drive safely during the holiday season.
According to the story in
The Keller Citizen, Dinsmore
finds the display cars, which have
likely been involved in fatal wrecks, at towing services.
"I’ve got kids and I’ve got grandkids," Dinsmore told The Keller Citizen. "It's a good and positive thing for me to do."
Dinsmore has gotten additional traffic to his shop, too, mainly parents who stop by with their kids to hammer home the consequences of driving drunk.
