Chief University, the training arm of Chief Automotive Technologies, has announced its 2010 collision analysis and repair training schedule. Chief University will offer more than 165 classes on computerized measuring, structural analysis and repair, steering and suspension, and collision theory in training centers throughout the United States and Canada.
Chief offers courses for collision repair technicians, estimators and insurance appraisers. The classes combine classroom training with hands-on demonstrations and practice.
All courses are led by professional Chief certified instructors and most are approved for I-CAR points through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance program. Chief training also has been certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for compliance with the Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) Standards.
Chief University courses available for technicians in 2010 are:
• Computerized Measuring Training – 2 days, 3 I-CAR points
• Full Frame Analysis & Repair Planning – 2 days, 3.25 I-CAR points
• Unitized Body Analysis & Repair Planning – 2 days, 3.25 I-CAR points
• Advanced Steering & Suspension – 2 days, 3.25 I-CAR points
• Capacitación de Medición Computarizada (in Spanish) – 2 days, 3 I-CAR points
Chief University courses for estimators and appraisers in 2010 are:
• Advanced Steering & Suspension Analysis – 2 days, 3.25 I-CAR points
• Advanced Frame Analysis – 2 days, 3.25 I-CAR points
• Structural Damage Analysis – 3 days, 4.5 I-CAR points
• Understanding Genesis Reports Seminar – 7 hours
Most classes cost $655 and include comprehensive training materials and certificates of completion. The Structural Damage Analysis three-day course is $985 and the Understanding Genesis Reports seminar is $240.
