A man in Calabar, Nigeria, rammed his car into a parked plane because he believed Jesus had sent him to punish sinners, the Associated Press reported.
The man broke through two security gates at the Calabar International Airport on March 31 and drove into the plane, which had several crew members but no passengers on board. Nobody was injured.
Guards immediately arrested the man, who was heard yelling that all Nigerians are sinners and must repent or perish. A bomb squad checked the vehicle for explosives but found none.
In response to the incident, an airport spokesman told the Associated Press, “We have beefed up security.”
