The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) announced the election of Ed Salamy of K.S.I. Trading Corp. in South Plainfield, New Jersey, to CAPA’s board of directors.
Salamy is the deputy director of industrial relations and the director of the New England and upstate New York regions for K.S.I. Trading. He joined K.S.I. in 2004 as a sales and marketing manager after working for six years with Veng USA in Seekonk, Mass.
Salamy has been an active distributor member of the CAPA technical committee since 2008. As the K.S.I. industry relations representative, he regularly attends industry events held by the ABPA, NACE, QPC and CIC, as well as those sponsored by insurance and governmental organizations.
Salamy received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and currently resides in Johnston, Rhode Island.
