5/13/2010 9:31:40 AM

Collision Revision, a Chicago, Ill.-based operator of collision repair centers in Illinois, Indiana and Florida, has acquired Leyden Auto Body in Melrose Park, Ill. This center is 15,000 square feet and has served Melrose Park for more than 30 years.

The family that operated the business, led by brothers Chris and Robert Farina, will also be joining the Collision Revision team.

“These guys and their team are a great addition to the CR family and more specifically my management district," said District Manager Chris Cardwell. "I'm really looking forward to integrating the operation into the Collision Revision model and working intimately with both Chris and Robert for many years to come.”

In late 2008, the company hired Brandon Thomas as business development manager. Thomas has a real estate background but spent 12 months in procurement and systems improvement with Collision Revision to gain an appreciation of the collision repair industry before being promoted to vice president of acquisitions in late 2009.

“Our entire company is excited to continue our growth throughout the underserved areas of the western Chicago suburbs," said Thomas. "Feedback from our customers, both vehicle owners and insurance companies, has provided me guidance in determining markets where our service is needed. It was with their help that we developed our multi-year growth strategy for both current and non-current markets throughout the United States.”

Operations Manager R.J. A. D’Orazio said, "It's truly an honor to be able to purchase Leyden Auto Body and partner with Chris and Robert. They're really a great family and I'm confident that they, as well as the rest of their team, will integrate well into our management system. It has always been our company’s goal to be a buyer and employer of choice, and I believe we will achieve those goals. I'm sincerely excited about our company’s future, not because of Collision Revision’s vision but because of our extraordinary talent. I say confidently that Collision Revision has the best technicians, detailers, managers and administration in this industry, and to be able to work next to such an incredible group of hardworking men and women is nothing short of a dream come true.”

Collision Revision, Inc., is headquartered in Joliet, Ill., and was founded in 1976 by current chairman Roger A. D’Orazio. The company repairs over 28,000 automobiles per year and remains privately owned and operated, making it one of the largest collision repair operators in the U.S.
