On Thursday, July 15, the California Autobody Association (CAA) Valley Ventura Chapter will host a meeting with a representative from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). The meeting will teach repairers how to document repair orders legally and properly and give access to legal experts.
CAA says the following questions will be answered, among others:
• Can I waive the insured's deductible?
• Do I have to follow the insurance estimate exactly?
• Does a claimant need to agree to use aftermarket parts?
• Who can legally authorize repairs on a vehicle?
A representative from ALLDATA will also give a presentation on OEM repair information.
