The world's largest kit car manufacturer, Factory Five Racing, Inc. of Wareham, Mass., has entered into an agreement with Collision Quest, of Boston, Mass., in which Collision Quest will become the exclusive collision repair and painting consultant to both new and existing Factory Five customers.

"Because our cars are built by their owners, there's a special bond that exists," said David Smith, president and co-founder of Factory Five Racing. "As such, we want to be sure that our owners are fully supported by the best painters and collision repairers in the industry and have confidence that those they're talking to have the full support of Factory Five Racing. By teaming up with Collision Quest, we can be assured that will be the case."

Collision Quest has already begun the process of identifying and certifying some of the most highly qualified painters and repairers from around the country to assist Factory Five customers who are looking for referrals for customized paint jobs, build assist and repairs. Jeff Collins of Whitby Motors in North Carolina, Jeff Miller of Miller Custom Painting in California, Gordon Levy of Levy Racing in Arizona and Bart Brown of All Angles Collision Repair in Kansas (who used ChemSpec's Metalux brand paint, the official paint of Factory Five Racing) are a few of the repairers and facilities that have been approved.

"I commend Dave Smith and Factory Five Racing for taking the necessary steps to ensure that his customers have a resource like Collision Quest to assist his customers who are looking for a painter, or repairer, who has experience working on these amazing cars," said Brown of All Angles. "It's this type of commitment to excellence that has made Factory Five Racing truly the 'best in class' when it comes to kit cars."

Added Collision Quest spokesman Stephen Regan, "We're very happy to be working with Factory Five Racing and their customers. Collision Quest is committed to ensuring consumers receive the highest level of service and quality for automotive painting and repair, and that's exactly what Factory Five customers can expect when it comes to repairing or painting these exquisite cars."

Factory Five Racing currently produces five distinct component kits for assembly: Mk. 4 Roadster, '33 Hot Rod, Type 65 Coupe, GTM Supercar and Challenge Car competition model. Customers purchase kit components and then assemble them with an existing chassis/drivetrain to produce high performance street and racing vehicles.
