ASA Fielding Questions on Changes with Farmers DRP Agreements
6/15/2011 9:09:35 AM

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has been fielding questions from collision repairers over the past several weeks about changes in the Farmers Insurance Circle of Dependability agreements.

Changes that are raising questions include:

• Language within the "Most Favored Customer" area of the agreement

• Annual employee background checks, which does not appear to be reciprocal

• Limited reimbursement for additional necessary duties beyond the repair

• Placement of insurer products

• Usage of shop stalls by specialty vendors selected specifically by Farmers

• Required purchase and utilization of a specified electronic audit tool

ASA is asking that repairers contact Denise Caspersen, ASA's Collision Division manager, at denisec@asashop.org, if they have any questions or concerns about their contracts with Farmers.
