Bad weather is sometimes a best friend to body shops, as was the case when a freak snowstorm hit the Northeastern U.S. on Oct. 29. According to a report from the Hartford Courant, Connecticut collision repair facilities have received an avalanche of work since the Nor'easter blew in.

One shop owner is so overwhelmed that he posted the need for additional help from technicians on Craigslist. Another reported 20 damaged vehicles on his lot, and others on a waiting list. Still another counted 40 damaged vehicles coming in over three days, and an additional 30 on the way.

"In 28 years, I've never seen anything like this. It's overwhelming," Tony Cavallaro, owner of Airport Road Auto Body in Hartford, told the Hartford Courant
