ABRA Auto Body & Glass Announces New VP of Auto Glass Division

Minneapolis-based ABRA Auto Body & Glass announced that Jim Richardson has been named vice president of ABRA Glass. Richardson will play an instrumental role in meeting growth objectives in their auto glass division, the company says.

Richardson was most recently employed with PPG Industries. During his tenure with PPG, he served as director of sales, director of alliance programs and business development, and most recently, segment manager in their Architectural Coatings Division, where he was responsible for strategic planning, revenue contribution and resource utilization management.

Richardson also enjoyed a successful nine-year career with Harmon Glass.

When asked why he joined ABRA, Richardson stated, “ABRA is a growing company and a well-respected leader in the damaged vehicle repair and auto glass industry. I look forward to being an integral part of the management team as the company continues to expand its business and develop better ways to automate their processes through ‘Operational Excellence.'”

“Jim will fill a key strategic position for ABRA,” said Scott Krohn, ABRA’s executive vice president of operations. “His depth of knowledge in the auto glass industry and experience as a Six Sigma Black Belt will be a positive contribution to our strategic growth plans and lean initiatives.”

Richardson is a graduate of Michigan State University. He and his wife Charlotte will be relocating to Maple Grove, Minn., with their son, Garrett, and daughter, Delanie.
