American Honda Launches Approved Collision Repair Tools Program

Program includes necessary tools and equipment for repair of parts made of new metals, which are used in many late-model Honda and Acura vehicles.

American Honda announced that approved collision repair tools and equipment are now available to independent and dealer-owned collision repair shops through the Honda/Acura Tool and Equipment Program.

This includes tools and equipment necessary for collision repairs on all steel panels and structural parts such as ultra high-strength 1,500 MPa boron steel used in many late-model Honda and Acura vehicles.

All tools and equipment included in this program have been approved by the American Honda Special Tools Group to confirm suitability for the repair and that the tools perform as advertised.

“Our goal is to have every collision-damaged Honda and Acura receive a complete and proper repair,” said Wayne Waszkiewicz, manager, service technology  for American Honda. “To do that requires the use of proper tools and equipment. Our department is pleased to not only identify those items, but to make them easily and readily available to anyone repairing Honda and Acura vehicles.”

The approved tools and equipment are available to independent shops at competitive prices.
