Audatex UK Software Remotely Determines Losses

Audatex UK has reported that more than 50 percent of all total loss vehicles are incorrectly routed to body shops at First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and has developed a software program for claims handlers to help curb the issue.

The new software, AudaFNOL, will allow insurance claims handlers determine the extent of accident damage remotely through an online program. AudaFNOL uses input screens incorporating illustrations and detailed questions to create a description of damage severity description. The system then combines that information with data on the make, model, derivative and age of the vehicle, its value and the predicted repair cost, which will help claims handlers decide whether to send the vehicle to a body shop or salvage yard.

AudaFNOL is available now in the UK.
