Automotive and Industrial Supply Opens New Utah Location

AIS was previously located on Federal Avenue in Logan, where they served for several decades as S&B Automotive Color.

Automotive and Industrial Supply (AIS), a distributor of automotive paint, equipment and supplies, announced the grand opening of its new store in Logan, Utah. AIS was previously located on Federal Avenue in Logan, where they served for several decades as S&B Automotive Color.

Though the 3,200-square-foot new building has less space than the old building, its layout provides plenty of room.

“It may not seem like it makes sense, but the ceilings are 15 feet instead of eight feet and there is great access to the shelves inside the building and the parking lot outside, giving us some much needed breathing room,” said Lorin Wilding, AIS operations manager.

The previous location was originally built as a meat locker but was purchased by S&B Automotive Color in 1977. The design of the building was adequate for the needs of S&B, but did not provide excess room for maneuvering. The new location is situated just four miles south of the old location, and AIS hopes to add to its customer base by providing the same customer service and friendliness of the old location.

To celebrate the new Logan location, AIS will be hosting an Open House/Grand Opening on June 10, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public, free of charge, and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Logan Chamber of Commerce at 11:30. Refreshments will be provided.
