Axalta Coating Systems Manufacturing Plant Participates in Disaster Training

Axalta Coating Systems’ Mount Clemens, Mich., manufacturing plant participated in the Macomb County Business Preparedness Conference located at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights on Sept. 30, 2014. Aside from coatings production, other business functions are also located at the facility, including research and development, engineering, manufacturing, human resources and supply chain.

Macomb County’s focus for the conference was to educate businesses and the public on how to prepare for a disaster. This was the third annual business preparedness event for Macomb County.

“It’s nice to know that there’s a company in our midst that has a sense of community and cares enough to share its knowledge and resources,” said attendee Denise Froehlich from Harrison Township, Mich.

In addition to helping to present certain preparedness tips, the Axalta manufacturing plant’s fire truck was on hand for demonstrations and photos.
