Airbag Solutions has announced that Rick Johnson, Eastern zone manager for BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions, scored a hole-in-one at the Collision Repair Education Foundation fundraising golf tournament in Detroit last week, winning the $10,000 prize.
“I used a 6-iron from 165 yards,” said Johnson. “The shot never left the pin, landed about a foot short of the hole and rolled in. Thank you to Airbag Solutions for sponsoring the hole. This event helps allow the Collision Repair Education Foundation to provide scholarships to numerous students each year, which helps prepare the next generation of collision repair."
Added Brandon Eckenrode, director of development for the Collision Repair Education Foundation, “In our 13 years of holding our summer golf fundraiser, this is a first to have one of our golfers win one of the contest holes. We would like to thank Airbag Solutions for their sponsorship of the hole and also congratulate Rick Johnson of BASF for his hole-in-one shot that earned him $10,000. Not only was Mr. Johnson a winner last week, but through our attendees and sponsors, the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s 13th annual golf fundraiser raised a significant amount of funds, and this will allow us to continue supporting the high school and college collision students and instructors across the country.”
Airbag Solutions, a supporter of the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s educational mission, sponsored the hole-in-one contest.
“We were so excited to have a winner this year,” said Doug Gan, COO, Airbag Solutions. “Congratulations to Rick for an excellent golf shot, and thanks to the Collision Repair Education Foundation for hosting such a fun and successful event.”
