I-CAR Debuts New Class at NORTHEAST 2017

I-CAR Vehicle Technology Trends and Diagnostics Overview (VT117L01) will be introduced on Saturday, March 18 by I-CAR’s Peter Fryzel and Michael Bonsanto.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) has announced that I-CAR will be debuting a brand-new training class at their 40th annual NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show March 17-19 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J.).

I-CAR Vehicle Technology Trends and Diagnostics Overview (VT117L01) will be introduced on Saturday, March 18 by I-CAR’s Peter Fryzel and Michael Bonsanto.

“I-CAR has always been a huge supporter of the NORTHEAST show,” said AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “To have them create a new class and debut it at our show is definitely something we are very excited about. It also ties in perfectly with this year’s ‘Path to Certification’ panel discussions. Education is absolutely crucial to our industry, and we are more than happy to provide a full slate at NORTHEAST.”

Vehicle Technology Trends and Diagnostics Overview begins with the first module, which highlights new vehicle features, technologies and repair options being introduced by the world automakers. Part two is an activity-filled group of modules that introduce an overview of diagnostics, scan tools, pre-and post-scans, calibrations and the importance of continued training and education.

“Vehicle Technology Trends and Diagnostics Overview (VT117L01) is the latest live delivery of the organization’s popular NEW series, which annually takes a look at vehicle technology and trends,” said Armin Price, I-CAR manager of business development. “This course not only covers features and collision repair procedures for several 2017 models both foreign and domestic, but also includes information on automotive collision diagnostics and scan tools. Students will learn about the increasing importance of performing diagnostic scans and the differences between certain electrical troubleshooting tools. The various options a shop has when it comes to ensuring diagnostics are completed are discussed.”

Also on March 18, I-CAR will be presenting a free I-CAR certification and technical hour in the NORTHEAST demo area. This is an hour-filled Q & A demonstration session with important information on what I-CAR certifications are and how I-CAR performs hands-on, in-shop certifications.
