The Choice Autobody Repair Association (CARA) and Stan Mitchell Enterprises will host a Variable Rate System (VRS) workshop in Columbus, Ohio, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 2, 2015 at the Doubletree Inn, 175 Hutchinson Avenue.
At the workshop, National AutoBody Research CEO Richard Valenzuela and President Sam Valenzuela will present their VRS technology as the much-needed solution to the collision repair industry’s stagnant labor rate problem.
The workshop will also include a presentation from PMC Logic on their paint and material calculation software. Other speakers include Michael R. Greene, executive director of the Ohio Collision Repair Board, and Rick Finney of CARA.
Only pre-registered owners, managers and technicians will be eligible to attend the meeting. RSVP by April 25, 2015 online and select the Columbus, Ohio, option.
Attendees will learn how to utilize the VRS online tools to properly price auto body shop labor in their individual shop, based on the competitive environment; their shop’s cost of doing business; the shop’s profit goals; and the shop’s level of training, certifications, and investment in equipment and technology. PMCLogic is a management tool designed to easily and accurately calculate the amount of paint and materials used to repair and refinish a vehicle in order to return it to pre-accident condition. Information generated from this program can be used to better manage paint and material inventory and purchasing, provide accurate job costing for each vehicle repaired, and create a paint and material estimate and invoice.
