CCC Information Services Inc. and I-CAR Education Foundation Announce Scholarship Winners

The I-CAR Education Foundation and CCC Information Services Inc. announced six students as winners of the CCC Michael Salvatore Memorial Student Repair Technician Scholarship.

The CCC Michael Salvatore Memorial Student Repair Technician Scholarship awards scholarships to students currently enrolled at each of five chosen schools, representing a combined student value of $25,000. Schools participating in the scholarship were selected based on specific criteria (ASE-certification, use of the I-CAR Live curriculum, geographic location). The scholarship program was renamed in 2007 to honor longtime CCC team member Michael Salvatore.

“It’s an honor for us to recognize these students and their achievements,” said CCC Automotive Services Group General Manager Jim Dickens. “The hard work and dedication in their respective programs is reflected in their coursework, and only stands to benefit the collision repair industry as they enter the workforce.”

The following is a list of participating schools and the scholarship winners from each:

• Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Logan, Utah: Shawn Christensen and Nathan Davis
• Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, Wis.: Zachary Borowski
• Nashville Auto-Diesel College, Nashville, Tenn.: Darren DeLong
• Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa.: John Ellis
• Universal Technical Institute, Houston, Texas: William Coulter

“This year’s winners of the Salvatore Scholarship are a talented and capable group of collision technicians,” said Scott Kruger, executive director of the I-CAR Education Foundation. “Congratulations to them and thank you to CCC for providing this opportunity to make collision education available and affordable.”
