Sales of the CX-5 and CX-9 crossover SUVs carried Mazda to a 13-percent year-over-year increase in February U.S. sales, the automaker said.
The CX-5 compact SUV and CX-9 midsize SUV were the only models in Mazda’s U.S. lineup that posted year-over-year sales gains.
Sales of the CX-5 were up 69 percent from February 2017, marking the model’s best February and its 11th best-ever month in a row, according to Mazda North American Operations.
Sales of the seven-passenger Mazda CX-9 rose 6 percent year-over-year with 2,286 vehicles sold in February, according to Mazda.
