Marketed and distributed worldwide by Wedge Clamp Systems, the NitroHeat system extracts 98 percent pure nitrogen from air, then heats it and sprays it under lower pressure using conventional spray equipment. By dramatically reducing overspray and reflection while purifying and heating the delivery stream, the system can reduce paint usage by up to 30 percent. Less overspray also means less time cleaning and replacing filters, and appreciably faster drying reduces booth time and lets collision repair owners cycle more cars through their shops. NitroHeat’s warmer, drier flow produces softer edges and uniform delivery and lays down a smooth, gleaming finish. It works equally well with solvent-based or waterborne systems, and with the latter there is no need to retrofit for additional ventilation.
