IGA’s Comic Book Volume Two Now Available

The Independent Glass Association (IGA) now offers a dynamic duo of comic books in its consumer-educating “Don’t Get Steered” series written by IGA staff and illustrated by Susan Meyers. Volume One, released in May, sold out after 12 days and had to be reprinted, and IGA expects Volume Two to sell out just as quickly.

The hero of the comic, IGA Man, educates consumers about the insurance company practice of steering, or deceptive referral – an issue collision repairers are all too familiar with. Body shop owners would be wise to follow suit by finding a simple yet colorful way to warn consumers of this insurance company tactic.

Will insurance companies continue to deceptively refer customers to preferred body shops? Can IGA Man inspire the collision repair industry to get the word out about steering before it’s too late? Tune in next time to find out! (Or visit IGA’s Web site at www.iga.org to learn more or order copies of the comics.)
