LORD Offers New Products and Promotion

LORD Corporation, maker of Fusor Automotive Repair Adhesives, launched four new products and a special offer on a LORD/Hendrick Motorsports Cooler on April 1.

The new products were specifically designed to reduce comebacks, improve cycle times and restore damage to pre-accident collision.

Designed to provide undetectable structural and cosmetic repair of composite plastics, LORD Fusor 201EZ Plastic Body Repair Adhesive is a hand-mix formula suitable for all types of composite plastic body panels. Ideal for mending cracks, holes, seams or deep gouges, LORD says, this product provides invisible repairs and helps technicians save time and money, as rigid plastic repairs are fixed right the first time. Available in an economic size and package, Fusor 201EZ sands to a nice featheredge, according to the company.

Paintable in 10 minutes, LORD Fusor 802EZ Factory Match Seam Sealer is a high-grade, 100 percent urethane-based automotive sealer/adhesive. Its non-sag formula will not shrink or crack and it holds brush strokes to duplicate the OEM look. This product is packaged in standard 310-ml aluminum caulking tubes and provides shops the ability to duplicate white unpainted seam sealer applications often found within the interior trunk and passenger floor areas of late-model European vehicles, the company says.

Designed to re-bond automotive body emblems, moldings, interior/exterior trim parts and fabrics, LORD Fusor 160 Double Sided Emblem and Transfer Tape is super thin – only 0.010-inch – and more than 80 percent stronger than competitive brands, LORD says. This material works well for re-adhering foam-backed emblems, carpets and headliners. Fusor 160 is packaged in 3-inch by 11.5-inch sheets and is easier to trim than ordinary two-sided tapes, according to the company. It offers shops the opportunity to reuse rather than discard nameplates and body side trim.

LORD Fusor 190 Clear Extra Thick Molding and Cladding Tape works for irregular fitting parts. Ideal for wide moldings and claddings, this product is clear and colorless as well as solvent- and UV-resistant. Because Fusor 190 is nearly 50 percent thicker than regular double-sided tapes, LORD says, it gives body shop professionals the necessary product to reattach certain body side trim parts without doubling up layers of tape, which ultimately saves labor and material.

Those wishing to order the new products have the added incentive of receiving a free LORD Fusor Automotive Repair Adhesives/Hendrick Motorsports Cooler when they buy three of the new products – Fusor 160 Clear Emblem and Transfer Tape, Fusor 190 Clear Extra Thick Molding and Cladding Tape or Fusor 201EZ Plastic Body Repair Adhesive – or buy six cartridges of Fusor 802EZ Factory Match Seam Sealer. Two cartridges of Fusor 802EZ may be substituted for one package of Fusor 160, Fusor 190 or Fusor 201EZ. Multiple orders can be placed during the promotional period. The offer is good April 1 through June 30, or while supplies last.
