Most Likely Places to Die in a Car Crash in the U.S.

Texas proves deadliest, with three Lone Star State counties in the top five for the most fatal accidents.

The good news is, car crash fatalities are down. The bad news is, they still happen.

That is the gist of a report from Yahoo, which states that from 2005 to 2013, traffic deaths in the U.S dropped from 39,000 to 30,000.

Citing a study from AutoInsuranceCenter.com, Texas is the deadliest state in which to drive because three of the top five most fatal accidents occur in three of its counties.

The top five deadliest counties are:

  • Kenedy County, Texas
  • Esmerelda County, Nevada
  • Hudspeth County, Texas
  • Clark County, Indiana
  • Oldham County, Texas
