The Refinish Distributors Alliance (RDA) has added a new member: Ogden Auto Parts & Glass Co. of Ogden, Utah.

Founded in 1929, Ogden Auto Parts & Glass is a family-owned shop with the fifth generation still actively involved in managing the business. CEO Bret Thorpe and CFO Sharon Thorpe believe that their employees are the shop’s greatest assets.

Ogden Auto Parts & Glass, which has a second location in Salt Lake City, sells Axalta and PPG paint lines.

“Brett and Sharon Thorpe are looking forward to being a part of the RDA/IMPACT organization,” RDA said in a news release. “They are eager to share and learn with all of the existing members of the group. They are always looking for ways to differentiate themselves, and the IMPACT Performance Products and Marketing programs will be an immediate benefit.”

RDA has 18 members, representing more than 282 locations in 40 states. Members service more than 5,000 collision centers throughout the United States and represent a cross-section of all major refinish brands. As a group, RDA members boast more than $500 million in sales and comprise approximately 17 percent of the refinish business nationwide, according to the organization.

“We are excited to have Ogden Auto Parts & Glass Co. as part of the RDA/IMPACT group and know they are a great fit with our organization,” said Robert McKenzie Jr., executive director of RDA.
