Paint Systems, Spray Guns Highlight Product Giveaways at BSB Waterborne Conference

Everyone loves free, right? Especially during these tough economic times! Well, if you love free, you definitely need to attend the 2009 BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference to be held Aug. 13-14 at Sawmill Creek Resort & Conference Center in Huron, Ohio. Several of the sponsors and exhibitors have committed to giving away a variety of equipment and products to attendees.

“We’re very grateful for the support our sponsors and exhibitors have shown, and we’re thrilled that they’re willing to give away products and equipment that will aid repairers in their waterborne transition,” said BodyShop Business Publisher Scott Shriber. “This is just another great reason to come to this conference.”

Some items that will be given away include a complete Matrix paint system (matches over 25,000 colors, imports and domestics, pearls, metallics, xirallics, color chip books, decks – $4,000 value), two $250 gift cards for the Kalahari Resort Water Park from Chemspec, an AF-08 air dry fan and three 4000 series spray guns from Pro-tek, a spray gun from Transtar, and much more!

With only four weeks to go, anticipation is growing for one of the most exciting conferences the collision repair industry has ever seen. Most attendees will be arriving on Thursday, Aug. 13, to take advantage of optional I-CAR waterborne training (12 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and check out equipment and products they’ll need for the waterborne transition at the trade show from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Then, they’ll soak up the sunset at the reception on the beach at 7 p.m. During the reception, 20-plus year BodyShop Business contributor and jobber Mark Clark will provide an overview of the movement toward waterborne (low-VOC) basecoats.

On Friday, Aug. 14, six educational presentations will give attendees a tidal wave of waterborne information. Representatives of the EPA and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), along with top shop owners from around the country, will discuss their experiences with low-VOC basecoats. The day will end with a panel discussion featuring representatives of the sponsors and exhibitors fielding questions from attendees.
