Painters Supply & Equipment Co. Acquires Dick’s Auto Supply

The acquisition adds a location in Findlay, Ohio, and strengthens Painters Supply & Equipment Co.'s market presence in northwest Ohio.

Painters Supply & Equipment Co. (PSE) announced the acquisition of certain assets of Dick’s Auto Supply.

Dick’s was founded in 1968 and is a PPG Platinum Distributor. The acquisition adds a location in Findlay, Ohio, and strengthens PSE’s market presence in northwest Ohio, the company noted.

The acquisition was completed in late December, according to PSE.

“We’re excited to welcome the Dick’s Auto Supply team to Painters Supply & Equipment,” said Patrick Mayette, CEO of PSE. “We are committed to delivering the highest-quality products, superior service and value-added programs to all of our new customers.”

Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Taylor, Mich., PSE has grown to 22 branch locations across Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

Painters Supply & Equipment serves more than 4,000 customers, including collision repair shops, auto dealerships, fleet operators and various other commercial and industrial accounts. PSE is a PPG Platinum Distributor and maintains strong market share across its footprint, according to the company.

“We’re pleased to grow our footprint in Ohio and expect to be an active acquirer of other strategic distributors in both the Midwest and nationally in 2018,” Mayette added. “We have a strong appetite for continued growth.”
