SEM has released its standard operating procedure (SOP) for plastic tab repair, which shows viewers how to efficiently repair most automotive plastic tabs for bumpers, mirror housings and more.

“Save several hours and up to $1,000 by repairing bumper tabs instead of replacing the bumper. The cost of a new bumper ranges anywhere from $100 to $1,000. Then, the technician has to prep, paint and blend the color of the bumper to the fender to make it look original to the vehicle. This can take several hours and a lot of material. Repairing the bumper tab takes as little as five minutes and significantly reduces the cost of materials and labor.”
