CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts has added three new awards for safety and education, and recognized the winners this week at the annual CARSTAR conference in Seattle.

CARSTAR CEO David Byers joined select safety and education partners to honor each winner on stage during the annual awards ceremony on Sunday evening.

Outstanding Achievement in Employee Safety and Environmental Compliance

Presented by Colette Bruce, owner of Team Safety, LLC, the award for Outstanding 10 Year Achievement in Employee Safety and Environmental Compliance recognizes the longstanding contributions these stores have made toward educating employees about and encouraging compliance on safety and environmental standards.  The winners include:

• Gapsch’s CARSTAR Collision Center – St. Louis, Mo.
• Kurt’s CARSTAR Collision Center – Maryville, Ill.
• Steve’s CARSTAR Auto Body – Arnold, Mo.
• Charlie’s CARSTAR Auto Body – Cahokia, Ill.

CARSTAR Future Impact Award

Clay Hansen accepts the CARSTAR Future Impact Award on behalf of CARSTAR Salk Lake City Business Group.

The CARSTAR Future Impact award, presented by the Collision Repair Education Foundation, recognizes CARSTAR stores who contribute to technical education. Scott Kruger, executive director, and Brandon Eckenrode, associate director, honored the CARSTAR Salt Lake City Business Group for their efforts.

The Collision Repair Education Foundation also recognized the CARSTAR corporate team for contributing work shirts to technical students around the country.

Outstanding Achievement in Education & Training

The award for Outstanding Achievement in Education and Training went to the CARSTAR franchisee who has one of the longest tenures as an I-CAR Gold certified store — Eric’s Auto Center CARSTAR in Tucson, Ariz., owned by Eric Grossman.  Grossman has been I-CAR Gold certified for 21 years, one of only three companies in the country to hold that distinction.
