Tucson Shop Switches to Waterborne with BASF

Tucson, Ariz.-based Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision has switched from a solventborne system to the R-M Onyx HD waterborne refinish system by BASF.

Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision‘s goal is to protect the region’s air, water and soil by reducing hazardous waste and air pollution, shop owner Javier Avalos says.

BASF says it applauds Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision‘s commitment to the environment.

“We view Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision as a true environmental leader in its industry,” says Darlene Eilenberger, BASF marketing director, North America.

Launched in 1990s, Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision is a family owned and operated collision repair shop specializing in foreign and domestic vehicle repairs. The shop also offers auto glass replacement, auto-tinting, car rentals at reduced rates, alignments, 24-hour towing, storage, theft-related repairs and unibody repairs.
