Utah Shop Beats Out Top Department Store For Customer Service Title

Utah-based Cascade Collision Repair was named No. 1 in customer service by the readers of Utah Valley Magazine, beating out leading department store chain Nordstrom’s, which came in second in the reader poll.

Brian Nichols, co-owner of the three-location, family-owned business, said the pride Cascade’s employees take in their work makes the difference when it comes to customer service.

“We can always count on our employees to do what’s right and honest. That’s the foundation of great customer service,” Nichols said. “This isn’t our glory, it’s theirs – they are the ones who interact with the customers, vendors and associates.”

Cascade uses its Web site to give customers daily updates on their vehicles’ repairs and always has staff available to answer customers’ questions, Nichols told Utah Valley Magazine.

“When someone leaves their keys in their car and trusts us to take care of it, we want them to feel like they understand exactly what’s going to happen and exactly when it will be finished,” he said. “We service 500 cars per month, but we want every customer to feel like they’re our only one.”
