1-800 Radiator Reports Record Parts Sales

1-800 Radiator, headquartered in Benicia, Calif. – a $190-million company – announced on July 1 its biggest sales week ever with sales topping $5 million. The company says the sales record is an indicator that consumers are opting to repair their vehicles rather than buy new ones.

Last year, 1-800 Radiator’s sales for the same one-week time period were $4 million.

"During this economic downturn, it’s even more important for people to take care of their cars and make necessary repairs or replacements as opposed to buying new vehicles," says Mike Rippey, CEO of 1-800 Radiator.

In its 230 nationwide locations, 1-800 Radiator says it receives nearly seven million phone calls from customers annually, and data from all phone calls is tabulated daily to gain a clear picture on automotive market demand by region, in the U.S. and Canada.
