2008 VeriFacts ACE Award Winners Honored at NACE

The winners of VeriFacts Automotive’s outstanding quality awards, known as the ACE Awards (Achievement in Collision Repair Excellence), were recently honored at the 2008 Collision Industry Achievement Awards Luncheon, held in conjunction with the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE).

The VeriFacts ACE Awards were established to recognize outstanding performance from individual technicians and collision repair centers committed to attaining higher repair quality as measured through the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program. To qualify for an ACE Award, collision repair centers must participate in the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program for at least six months. The technician and shops that scored highest in their respective categories were presented the top award, with finalists being recognized with a certificate of repair excellence.

The VeriFacts March Taylor Technician ACE Award was presented to Gus Marquez of Caliber Collision Center in Fresno, Calif.

“Gus is the go-to guy in his shop and has the highest standards for himself and those around him,” said Mark Olson, chief operating officer of VeriFacts Automotive. “Gus’ manager, Dan Imirian, told us that Gus is the best technician he has seen in his career that spans over 40 years. That’s high praise and further validates our selection.”

The VeriFacts Repair Center ACE Award was presented to Big Sky Auto Body Palo Verde in Tucson, Ariz.

Mark Claypool, vice president of operations, said, “Big Sky is a showcase of everything that is right in our industry. They consistently score very high across the board in our monthly assessments. Their curb appeal is fantastic, but what they do inside where it really matters is even better. They’re a great shop worthy of this award.”
