2008 VeriFacts ACE Award Winners Honored

The winners of VeriFacts Automotive’s ACE Awards (Achievement in Collision Repair Excellence) were honored at the 2008 Collision Industry Achievement Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with NACE.

The VeriFacts March Taylor Technician ACE Award was presented to Gus Marquez of Caliber Collision Center in Fresno, Calif.

“Gus is the go-to guy in his shop and has the highest standards for himself and those around him,” said Mark Olson, COO of VeriFacts Automotive. “Gus’ manager, Dan Imirian, told us that Gus is the best technician he’s seen in his career that spans over 40 years. That’s high praise and further validates our selection.”

The VeriFacts Repair Center ACE Award was presented to Big Sky Auto Body Palo Verde in Tucson, Ariz.

“Big Sky is a showcase of everything that is right in our industry," said Mark Claypool, VeriFacts vice president of operations. "They consistently score very high across the board in our monthly assessments. Their curb appeal is fantastic but what they do inside, where it really matters, is even better."

The ACE Awards recognize outstanding performance from individual
technicians and collision repair centers attaining higher repair
quality as measured through the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program. To
qualify for an ACE Award, collision repair centers must participate in
the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program for at least six months. The
technician and shops that scored highest in their respective categories
were presented the top award, with finalists being recognized with a
certificate of repair excellence.

“Choosing the winners was a real challenge this year, the scoring was so close, mere decimals between the winners and runners up,” said Farzam Afshar, CEO and co-founder of VeriFacts Automotive. “VeriFacts would like to congratulate all winners and finalists for their commitment to producing high quality collision repairs.”
