Race fan Michael Holcomb, who has been watching NASCAR since the age of four but has never attended a race, just learned he’ll be going to his first race this October, thanks to the 3M Automotive Aftermarket "Your Ticket to the Track" sweepstakes. After finding his winning ticket on a 3M Platinum Plus glaze, Holcomb heard the news from Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, via Skype.
Holcomb works as general manager of Glen’s Express Collision in Beaumont, Texas, which has served the Golden Triangle area since the early 1980s. He will attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 13, after visiting the crew at Roush Racing on Friday. During the race, he will serve as an honorary pit crew member.
He will be joined by shop owner Robert Corbello, David Abrahams and Mark Robin from distributor TASCO, and each of their guests.
“I couldn’t be more excited,” Holcomb said. “I’ve watched the races all my life, but I never thought I would get to be so close to the action. It was an incredible thrill to get the news directly from Greg Biffle, and I can’t wait to get to Charlotte to meet him and his team.”
Holcomb’s VIP prize package for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 in Charlotte includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations, Bank of America 500 tickets, a visit to the Roush Fenway Racing shop, VIP tour and hospitality and a 3M Racing merchandise bag. He will also enjoy a meet-and-greet with Biffle and Roush Fenway Racing owner Jack Roush.
