The meeting will take place Oct. 24 at Gran Centurions Banquet Hall in Clark, N.J.

Following the election of new slate of AASP-NJ officers, and an awards ceremony for local industry members, Palentchar will provide members with an overview of the work done at the Ombudsman’s Office. During his presentation, he also will explain how AASP-NJ members can assist their customers when a dispute arises on an auto property damage claim. Palentchar will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

I-CAR’s Allan Smith will return to the annual meeting, providing attendees with a brief presentation on where the industry is headed, and the ways training and certification can help industry members stay ahead of the curve and see a return on their educational investments.

Lastly, Robert Pingatore will provide an overview on the latest news regarding OSHA inspections, explaining how American Compliance can help members avoid fines and penalties during OSHA inspections.

“AASP-NJ is committed to bettering the collision and mechanical repair industry, and so we hope this selection of speakers will spark interest and prove to be beneficial for all in attendance at the annual meeting,” AASP-NJ President Jeff McDowell said. “It is important for everyone in the industry to stay on top of the latest information, and joining the conversation at this year’s meeting is a great way to do that.”

The 2017 Annual Meeting starts at 7 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Admission for AASP-NJ members is free, and admission for non-members is $75. All proceeds will be going to the AASP-NJ Legal Fund to help address the issues that are negatively affecting the collision repair industry.
