AASP/NJ’s NORTHEAST 2011 Show Has Increased Online Presence

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) are already working to make their flagship event, the 34th annual NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show at the Meadowlands, their best show to date. Through incorporation of a technologically heavy marketing plan including utilization of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn as well as a revamped, interactive website (www.aaspnjnortheast.com), AASP/NJ is helping keep NORTHEAST attendees ahead of the game.

“The power of using technology to benefit one’s business is undeniable,” said AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “By reaching out to our members and prospective attendees from every angle – from physical mail to email blasts to ‘tweets’ – we are able to address a much wider audience while also keeping everyone in the loop as to what they can expect at NORTHEAST 2011.”

The official website of NORTHEAST 2011, www.aaspnjnortheast.com, was recently redesigned and will feature an interactive floor plan, enhanced event and seminar registration (site visitors can enter their email to be notified when registration opens up to the public) and the return of last year’s “Must See Vendor” page.

This year also marks the second year of AASP/NJ using social media to help promote the show.

“Last year, we got a ton of positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees who had heard about the show either through Twitter, LinkedIn or our Facebook fan page,” said McDowell. “These social media tools definitely helped generate interest in the show last year, and I foresee the response to be even greater this year as we up our efforts.” AASP/NJ has also created a YouTube page (www.youtube.com/AASPNJNORTHEAST), where promotional videos before and after the show will be posted.

“We are committed to putting on the best event possible for our members and the repair industry at-large,” said McDowell. “This year’s marketing campaign is going to take advantage of all the great technological tools that currently exist, and we are confident that this will result in well-informed attendees – and a packed exposition center!”
