AASP/NJ’s Seventh Annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing Scheduled for This Month

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s seventh annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing will take place Monday, May 23 at the Colonia Country club in Colonia, N.J., the association announced.

“With the change of venue, we feel this is going to be our best outing yet,” says AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant. “Each year, our goal is to raise more money for the Lou Scoras Scholarship Fund than the year before. Our players and sponsors always come through and we are always looking to add more of both. Anyone who is interested in playing or sponsoring can contact my office.”

The outing is held annually to raise money for a collision industry scholarship in memory of longtime AASP/NJ member Lou Scoras of Holmdel Auto Body.

“As I have said many times, Lou gave so much of himself and his time to our industry,” Bryant says. “This outing keeps his memory alive while also helping future repairers further their education. It always is a special event.”

Bryant expects well over 100 players to attend the outing, along with dozens of sponsors.

“In addition to all of the good the event does, it is also a heck of a lot of fun,” Bryant adds.  “I encourage everyone to make an effort to attend. I guarantee they will be glad they did.”
