ABAT to Hold Regional Meeting Featuring Tim Ronak

ABAT to Hold Regional Meeting Featuring Tim Ronak

Ronak will discuss new collision repair procedures related to ADAS that are confusing the billing process and how to navigate this with insurers.

The Auto Body Association of Texas announced it will be hosting a regional meeting featuring Internationally-recognized speaker Tim Ronak of AkzoNobel and SCRS on June 15, 2021 from 5-8 p.m.

With the rapidly evolving construction and safety/ADAS technology imbedded within modern cars, new operations often need unheard-of new procedures – which is confusing the billing process. This increased technology is requiring more time and tooling to restore and confirm that the consumer’s vehicle functions the same in the next collision event as it did in the one that created the loss. In an environment of cost containment, these new procedures are getting significant pushback from those that reimburse consumers for their loss. How do you overcome those objections?

Highlight of Ronak’s presentation will include:

  • What are typical insurers required to do to settle a loss?
  • Insurer objections when requesting rates or procedures
  • The general categories of insurer objections
  • Dispute resolution – what are my customers options?
