Acker Wheel Customer List Acquired by 1-800EveryRim.com

Acker Wheel of San Jose, Calif., has sold off its remaining inventory and all assets associated with its factory OEM wheel business, and 1-800EveryRim.com of Pico Rivera, Calif., has acquired Acker Wheel’s phone number and customer list.

Acker Wheel was founded in the 1970s by Jim Acker and has been owned by Doug Alton since 1986.

Billy Eordekian, president of 1-800EveryRim.com, has been a friendly competitor of Alton since the time he owned USED RIM, Inc.

“Doug’s customer list fits right in with ours, as of course we both cater to tire stores, collision centers and auto recyclers”, said Eordekian. “One of my favorite things about attending NACE and the TIA/SEMA Show is to spend time with my competitors. I always remember Doug at the SEMA show with his eagle necklace, eagle T-shirt and his unstoppable enthusiasm.”

“I have other business interests and I will spend more time with my family,” Alton said. “Also, I will get more into my hobby as a falconer. My ranch is home to about 50 birds of prey, including a golden eagle.”
