The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) presented the industry’s first WIN Cornerstone Award to Frederica Carter, communication manager for Akzo Nobel, during the recent WIN meeting in Chicago. The award, which the association will present annually, is given in recognition of outstanding leadership and support for the advancement of the collision industry and the WIN.
“This organization is really about mentoring and helping women succeed,” said WIN Chairperson Geralynn Kottschade. “Frederica does that both personally and professionally. She is one of those women who is always willing to go above and beyond for the cause.”
Carter said, “I can’t say enough about this organization. These are brilliant and enthusiastic women. Their passion, determination and commitment to the collision industry are contagious. I think their can-do attitude is what has enabled us to become so successful in just two short years. This is an enriching experience, and I would strongly encourage all women in the industry to become involved.”
