AkzoNobel and IC Bus Forge Multi-Year Paint Supplier Agreement

Following an extensive review and product testing process, AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes Americas announced that its paint system solutions have enabled them to become the approved paint supplier for school bus designer and manufacturer, IC Bus. IC Bus is a wholly owned affiliate of Navistar a global leader involved in the design and building of vehicles such as heavy trucks, severe service vehicles, military and recreational vehicles.
 
“With AkzoNobel being our long term partner at International Trucks we feel they have the product knowledge and innovative ideas to help us meet our goals for IC Bus,” said Ray Vargocko, supply manager – Purchasing and Logistics Navistar Inc. “Our goals include continuous cost reduction initiatives, improved process efficiencies and continued customer satisfaction. We feel AkzoNobel has the right products to meet our goals as a corporation.”

Commenting on the choice of IC Bus, David Davis, manager of Commercial Sales for AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes North America noted, “It is probably one of the most thorough review processes we have ever been through. Knowing that we were positioned with so many stellar competitors makes the ultimate decision even more gratifying.”
