AkzoNobel Expands with Triad Coatings for Carolina Coverage

AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Americas and Triad Coatings, Inc., have entered into a distribution partnership in the North Carolina area that will expand the distribution coverage of both organizations in the Carolina area.

Triad Coatings, Inc., headquartered in Graham, North Carolina, has distributed industrial coatings for approximately 10 years. For their collision repair customers, they will carry the AkzoNobel Lesonal and U-Tech brands.

Triad effectively covers seven North Carolina counties including Alamance, Guilford, Orange, Rockingham, Randolph, Caswell and Chatham.

“Our business model is very service-oriented,” said Gene Mullis owner of Triad. "As an industrial coatings distributor, we had the unique vantage point of watching jobber service to collision repair centers in the Carolina area decline. We saw a business space where we felt we could make a difference.”

“We are pleased that Triad Coatings has chosen to be a part of the AkzoNobel distribution network,” said Doug Holmberg, director of sales for AkzoNobel Car Refinishes North America. “We were tremendously impressed with the history of innovation and success that we saw with Triad. Their focus on customer service aligns with our core values.”
