AkzoNobel’s Wanda Brand to Be Title Sponsor of ‘Blue Suede Cruise’ at Summit Motorsports Park

AkzoNobel’s Wanda brand will partner with PBE Jobbers Warehouse to host one of the largest Midwest street rod events of the year — the 10th Annual “Blue Suede Cruise” ― July 22-24 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

More than 10,000 car enthusiasts will gather at the event to view thousands of beautifully painted hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trick trucks that will be on display, along with Wanda’s stunning Lingenfelter LTA concept car painted in custom Wanda colors and finishes.

“We are very excited to partner with our distributor, PBE Jobbers Warehouse, for this annual event,” said Mark Rapson, AkzoNobel’s manager of Trade Brands North America. “The Blue Suede Cruise location and reach are directly in line with PBE’s customer base, so it gives us the perfect opportunity to expand awareness for Wanda brand products with their customers.”

The weekend is set to a festive 1950’s retro theme, wherein the live Wanda girl brand representative will be participating all weekend while decked in vintage attire as she presides as Grand Marshall over the event’s “Neon Parade of Lights." A specially designed Wanda Diner will be onsite featuring hand-crafted Wanda burgers. A select number of guests will also have the opportunity to drag race during the “Wanda Challenge Run” on the famed Summit Motorsports Park race track.

Event-goers will be treated to informative car repair and car care clinics, as well as special “Evening with Wanda” gatherings to learn more about the many features and benefits of Wanda refinish products through an interactive and educational presentation.

Whether it’s participating in the “Fun-Runs” down the Summit Motorsports Park quarter-mile drag strip, riding in the Saturday night “All-Car Cruise” around the property or enjoying the vendor exhibits, fireworks and live 50‘s music and entertainment, there’s something for every car lover to enjoy, AkzoNobel says.

Rapson adds, “We hope everyone will mark their calendars now to attend Wanda’s Blue Suede Cruise event. It’s much more than a car or trade show ― it’s an action-packed weekend of fun and educational events for the whole family.”
