All H&V Collision Center Locations Receive CCAR Recognition as GreenLink Shops

The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) announces that H&V Collision Center of New York has received the “GreenLink Shop” recognition for all three of its facilities.

The GreenLink Shop status, an extension of CCAR’s CCAR-GreenLink Environmental Compliance Assistance Center and S/P2 (Safety and Pollution Prevention) E-learning Program, is designed to promote consumer confidence in local automotive repair facilities’ environmental/safety awareness and stewardship.

H&V Collision Center recently celebrated its 35th anniversary and operates three locations in upstate New York’s Capital Region: Troy, Queensbury and Colonie.

“H&V Collision Center has placed a priority on ensuring our operations are as environmentally friendly as possible and to encourage safety in every aspect of our business,” said Vartan Jerian, Jr., Vice President of H&V Collision Center. “We recognize the importance of being a good neighbor, and that is why H&V uses the safest paints and processes, and places emphasis on providing training and the most up-to-date equipment available to ensure safety.”

Daren Fristoe, CCAR president and Chief Operating Officer, added, “The GreenLink Shop program recognizes the commitment made by H&V Collision Center as the company has continued to pursue ways to improve environmental efficiency and safety.”

Repair facilities seeking the GreenLink Shop recognition must maintain high standards of excellence in environmental, health and safety (EHS) practices in four categories: business operations, employee training, safety compliance and environmental management. The CCAR initiative recognizes both auto mechanical service facilities and collision repair shops, with separate criteria established for each type of business.
