American Honda Announces Body Shop Recognition Recipients Reaches New Level

American Honda Motor Co, Inc. has announced that the
number of shops participating in its Body Shop Recognition program has reached
500 with shops in 40 states. This includes dealer-owned shops as well as
independent shops.

The program is a collaborative agreement with
OEConnection and the five main automotive refinish suppliers in the U.S.,
including DuPont Performance Coatings, PPG, BASF, Sherwin-Williams and
AkzoNobel to create a supporting initiative for Collision Select, American
Honda’s wholesale parts program.

To be eligible, shops must be sponsored by a Collision
Select-participating Honda or Acura dealer. Shops must also meet certain other
requirements including participation in their respective paint company’s
performance enhancement program and the adoption and use of OEConnection’s
CollisionLink product.

The adoption and use of CollisionLink, an Internet-based
parts procurement and management tool, facilitates a more efficient and
effective parts procurement process both for the car dealer and the body shop.

Participating shops will be presented with a handsome
plaque provided by American Honda and presented by their sponsoring dealership.
The shop’s contact information will be placed on a corporate American Honda
website in a searchable database accessible by Honda and Acura owners.
