AMI Welcomes Dan Risley to Board of Trustees

Risley was named executive director of ASA last June and previously served as executive director of SCRS.

Dan RisleyThe Automotive Management Institute (AMI) has welcomed Dan Risley to its Board of Trustees. Risley is executive director for the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and assumed the association’s permanent board position in June.

"AMI has a long, storied history with ASA, and I’m glad to continue building upon that relationship," Risley said. "AMI’s ability to continually deliver high quality education and content that is relative to today’s business is a testament to their reputation in the industry. I’m grateful to be able to contribute to their ongoing success.”

Risley, who has served the industry in many roles throughout his career, joined ASA after six years at Allstate Insurance Co., where he was a market claims manager. Prior to that, he served as executive director of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS).

“I have known Dan for many years and have great respect for him and what he has done for our industry," said Tony Passwater, AMI chairman and president of AEII in Indianapolis. "We on the AMI Board look forward to working with him as the ASA representative.”

Toni Slaton, AAM, AMI’s executive director, said, “We are pleased to welcome Dan to the AMI Board of Trustees. His enthusiasm and commitment to the automotive service industry will be an asset to the AMI board.”
